Biographical Background

Mr. LaBine was born and raised in Northwestern Minnesota, where his father was a wheat farmer. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in History from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He also obtained college credit from Chapman College, Orange, CA, World Campus Afloat, wherein he studied and traveled aboard the S.S. Ryndam, a Dutch ocean liner which disembarked at various countries throughout South America, Africa, and Europe. Subsequently, Mr. LaBine obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Mississippi Law Center.

He is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks. As a former New York Prosecutor, Mr. LaBine likes to return to Manhattan on occasion, where he enjoys Broadway theater and fine dining. He is an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins, sometimes traveling to Minneapolis and other locations to attend games. Mr. LaBine also enjoys current political events and history, reading, watching old movies, and on occasion, bicycling and golfing.
